Hello, I’m KJE, otherwise known as KJ Elizabeth. I’m a 30 yo doctoral student from Melbourne, Australia. I run the online retailers Button Brat and Oh My Mirror!. I’ve also been know to write the occasional zine and dabble in a range of projects. Right now I’m finishing my research and writing up my PhD.

Before commencing postgrad studies I was a freelance web designer and worked on websites for folk such as the National Young Writers Festival, Dennis Cooper and Kiddie Punk. Due to the PhD I’m not presently available for new work - flattery and begging will not lure me from this hiatus, although donuts and JB-HI-FI vouchers might..

I’m a feminist, I vote Green, I’m childfree, I don’t drink, I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and a mighty fine record collection.

Likes: Documentaries, nerds, non-commercial tv and radio, sociology, Wordpress, self-employment, reading, second-hand book & record stores, sharing my birth date with William James, the word ‘cunt’, DIY, a damn good coffee.

Dislikes: Beer, apathy, kiddie porn, gender norms, war, democracies that act like theocracies, racism, sexism, contentment, homophobia, heterosexism, lefty fascists, the word ‘cunt’, George W. Bush, pmt and soggy bread.
