America is a fucking nightmare. When are people going to see it for what it really is? It’s not a beacon of democracy and progress. There are loads of other countries that live up to the principles on which America was founded better than America. America squashes my hope, it does not inspire it. Grow up America. Put down your guns, your hate, your misogyny, your racism, swallow your overinflated pride and take a lesson from other nations who do democracy and civil society a damn side better than you.
